YOUR FIRST VISIT

Choose a way
to join the conversation.

Start with one familiar activity. AAC Pages offers several formats so you can try pictures on a screen, bring a board to an activity or explore a page download.

Use a speaking board

Tap pictures to add words to a message. Turn on Sound on tap or use Speak to hear the message with your browser’s available voice.

Bring pictures on paper

Download a printable PDF. The first page is the board; the second includes an activity idea and picture notes to keep with it.

Explore TouchChat page sets

Preview a connected set, then download its native file. Read the import guide and device-check notes before adding it to a communication device.

Try a familiar moment

Snack time, bubbles, reading together and hanging out are four different starting points. Choose by interest, comfort and access rather than assuming that an age label assigns ability.

How the browser boards work

  1. Open Tap and play and choose an activity category.
  2. Choose a picture to add its message. Your message remains while you move between the board’s categories.
  3. Use Speak to say the message, Undo to remove the last choice, or Clear to start a new message.
  4. Back opens the containing category. Home opens all activity categories. Talk offers the shared core words.

Speech depends on your browser and available device voices. If sound is unavailable, pictures and written messages remain visible. The tap-and-play message is held on the current page; refreshing or leaving the page starts a new message.

Keep communication open

These are optional activity supplements. Keep the communicator’s everyday vocabulary available, respond to their chosen message and make room for a different idea or a refusal. Any established communication method can take part.

Common first-visit questions

Do I need an account?

You can browse the library and its free activity resources without creating a site account.

Does a browser board change my TouchChat vocabulary?

The browser board is a separate activity on this website. Adding a native file to TouchChat is a separate action described in the import guide.

Are the native files all tested on an iPad?

Source checks and device testing are different. Native downloads carry their own device-check notes; new files may be device-test drafts. Check the imported pictures, spoken messages and navigation before integrating a page.

Can I choose another word or activity?

Yes. An activity board is a small vocabulary supplement. Keep other vocabulary and the person’s usual ways to communicate within reach.

How can I share a useful board?

Share its direct website link, or download the printable PDF with its notes page. The share page has a short site description and a QR flyer.
