Browser speech uses an available device voice. The original download is a separate file with its own layout and device-check notes.

Set up a real conversation
Look at the library’s actual choices together. Talk about browsing, asking for help and picking a place to read.
Words to have nearby
- A book
- This one
- Different book
- Read with me
- Where is it?
The board also keeps yes, no, help and stop nearby. Use these messages for real choices and responses, without requiring a particular button as the correct answer.
One way to join in
You could model “Something else” when it fits your own meaning, then leave time for the other person’s idea. Respond to their chosen message, gesture or other communication, including a refusal or a different plan.
Try another version
Use the board while choosing a book to share at home.
Make it fit the communicator
Choose a comfortable screen position and button size. Keep their usual vocabulary available alongside the activity. A person can participate by speaking, pointing, looking, signing or using another established access method. The browser board offers direct touch or click; it does not provide a complete individualized access setup.
The original page is labeled Device-test draft. Before adding a native file to an everyday device, back up the existing vocabulary and check the imported pictures, speech and navigation separately. See the import guide.
